Pakistani Couple Winning Hearts On Social Media For Celebrating Their Valima With Street Children!

The truth is, there are many commendable efforts that go unnoticed – but this recent one caught our attention. Rather than hosting their reception, a newlywed Pakistani couple celebrated their valima with the street children and fed them.

Bannu Assistant Commissioner Usman Ashraf and wife Dr. Natasha Rizwan tied the knot a few days ago. The newlywed couple’s real celebration was yet to come. The couple surprised everyone with their unconventional valima with street children.

Ashraf described COVID-19 as a time when gatherings are unwise. Hence, he found it appropriate to hold a small celebration with children who deserved it. Weddings and celebrations should be attended by loved ones and family members, he added. Yet, at the same time, it is important to include people that are typically neglected by society – for example, street children.

Therefore, the guests at the couple’s valima were from the street school operated by the Each One Teach One Foundation. It is an NGO dedicated to educating and grooming out-of-school children. According to the couple, simple weddings should be normalized and extravagant expenses should be avoided.

Pictures of a newlywed couple serving and feeding food to underprivileged children over a lavish reception in Pakistan are truly inspiring. The couple can be seen cheerfully distributing the food to the children.

Let’s take a look at these pictures!

The couple’s ingenuous valima celebration was immediately a hit with the public, with social media users sharing pictures of it and expressing their appreciation for their modest celebration. Then again, they could have done a hundred other things, too. Nevertheless, they decided to do this. A real act of giving and compassion on a day that is the most important day of their life. Such a wonderful idea.

There is no doubt that these are the types of trendsetters we need in today’s world of selfishness and ruthlessness. Sure, there is nothing wrong with having a wedding banquet. It is a worthy celebration. However, one must not forget that there are people out there who need help.

More power to these two. Both of them deserve every bit of love, adoration, and praise for what they did. We pray that this amazing couple is blessed in their marriage for their kindness and compassion to the less privileged.

Earlier this year, another Pakistani couple chose to feed the needy over their reception. Another Pakistani couple, a few years back, canceled their dream wedding and donated all the wedding expenses to charity. The couple donated the money they had saved up and donated to an NGO. How kind and thoughtful are these couples!
