Popular Indian television and film actor Sidharth Shukla, best known for his role in the TV show Balika Vadhu and Bigg Boss, passed away on Thursday. Pakistani celebs mourn the untimely demise of Sidharth Shukla.

Shukla suffered a massive heart attack in the morning, according to Indian media outlets. The Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya star passed away at the age of 40. Besides his mother, he leaves behind two sisters.

In the hours leading up to his death, it was learned that the actor complained that he felt unwell as he walked with his mother to his home at 8 pm. When Shukla arrived at his flat, he took some medicine for the pain and went to sleep.

The next morning, his family found him unconscious at 9:30 am and rushed him to Cooper Hospital at 10:30 am. There, the doctors conducted an ECD and declared him dead. “He was brought dead to the hospital some time ago,” the senior Cooper Hospital official told news agencies.

Social media was flooded with grief and disbelief following the news of his death. Condolences poured in from fans and public figures from within the Bollywood fraternity. Moreover, the passing of Shukla touched many Pakistani celebrities as well.

The news of Shukla’s passing was shared by Pakistan’s popular twin actors Aiman Khan and Minal Khan.

Taking to Instagram stories, actor Momal Sheik wrote, “I’m shocked”.

Expressing her disbelief, model Sadaf Kanwal wrote, “Unbelievable”.

Rabia Butt wrote a prayer for the actor’s family in this difficult time. She also shared her views on young deaths adding a health-related concern, “Young deaths, deaths from heart attacks, nighttime sleep is so crucial. This is we must [thank God] for getting a new life as soon as we wake up, for anything can happen to us in deep sleep. May [God] give this family courage to cope with this loss.”

Shukla began his career in the industry as a model and made his acting debut with a leading role in the television show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na. He later appeared on shows like Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi and Love U Zindagi but became a household name with Balika Vadhu.

He also participated in reality shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, and Bigg Boss 13. In addition, Shukla made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with the Karan Johar-produced Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, which featured him as a supporting actor.

In June last year, another Indian star Sushant Singh Rajput passed away. The actor committed suicide in his apartment.
