This whole past week, all eyes have been on the royal couple. The tour of the royal couple has glittered all of Pakistan. Everyone is talking about the Duke and Dutchess. Especially the way they are smoothly blending in with Pakistani culture. It has made Pakistanis even more excited about meeting the royal couple.
Ever since the day, the royal couple landed in Pakistan, the hashtag of #royaltourpakistan has been trending on twitter.
We have already seen Kate Middleton wearing Pakistani dresses and we’ve been adoring it. But, on Tuesday night Pakistanis for the first time saw Prince William in a traditional Pakistani dress. He wore a Sherwani which instantly became another favorite part of the night.
And by another, I mean after the one where the Duke and Duchess got off desi Pakistani sawari. A tuk-tuk. The one which was custom designed for the Royal Visit.
Anyhow, the night was a star-studded reception hosted at Pakistan Monument. The royals arrived at the venue in style. With that Sherwani, coming out of the Rikshaw. That definitely reinforced the strong ties of love Prince William and the royal family with Pakistan.
Prince William further won the hearts of Pakistani by saying “Bohat Shukria” in his speech.
Celebrities Who Attended The Star-Studded Reception
British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Thomas Drew was the host of the event. It was a starry evening. Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor also attended the reception.
Moreover, there were many Pakistani megastars were lined up for meeting the royal couple. The legendary cricketer Wasim Akram was there with his wife Shaniera Akram. Actress Mahira Khan who just came back from Paris Fashion Week. Cricketer Muhammad Hafeez.

The Tamgha-e-Imtiaz girl Mehwish Hayat. Actor and Producer Hareem Farooq. Dr. Asfi from ‘Yakeen ka Safar’ along with his fiance and actress Sajal Aly. The ‘Afrreen Afreen’ singer Momina Mustehsan, all were present.
All-time favorite Pakistani megastar shan was also spotted at the event.
Furthermore, internationally famous singer Atif Aslam glamoured the night with his presence. The designer of Dutchess’s attire in Pakistan was Maheen Khan. Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) was among the many other prominent faces at the event.
Also, the celebrities weren’t just there to attend the evening. The stars were given the opportunity of meeting the royal couple. After that, the Paki celebs shared their experience of the night.

HSY took the meeting with royals as a privilege. And mentioned how incredibly kind they were.
“It was a privilege and an honor to have been one of the few to be introduced to Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They were incredibly kind, elegant and so very gracious. Getting an opportunity to meet and interact with them was a true pleasure and an experience i will always cherish.”
