Pakistan to Send Qualified Nurses to New York for Jobs

Deputy Speaker of New York State Assembly Phil Ramos and his delegation met with Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi at the Ministry of Interior on Saturday. They discussed various matters of mutual interest, including education, health, and enhancing cooperation in policing and economic sectors. One significant outcome of the meeting was the agreement to send qualified Pakistani nurses to New York for employment. Both sides agreed to complete the necessary processes to finalize this procedure soon. Minister Naqvi emphasized his commitment to taking the necessary steps to recruit and send these nurses, highlighting the historical and deep-rooted relations between Pakistan and America.

Additionally, the meeting decided on developing a workable plan to utilize opportunities for increased cooperation in education, health, and economic sectors. Deputy Speaker Phil Ramos invited Minister Naqvi to visit New York and praised the significant contributions of the Pakistani community in America. Naqvi assured that immediate steps would be taken to send qualified nurses to New York and mentioned his past efforts to enhance the nursing sector in Punjab. Positive discussions were also noted between Islamabad Police and New York Police Department to further enhance cooperation. The meeting included New York Assembly member Alec Cransey, American Pakistani Public Affairs Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, and other notable delegates.
