Let The Cricket Mela Begin! Pakistan Super League 2022 Schedule

Pakistani cricket fans get ready for the mega event in a few weeks. It’s time to energize your 2022 start with the power-packed Pakistan Super League. The draft has been done and the schedule revealed.

PSL is the hub of new talented youngsters to come and showcase their brilliant cricket skills in every manner. Since PSL started, so many young players got the opportunity to shine in the league and get a chance to exhibit some kind of play for the national side.

Every year new players emerge and for the past few years, well-known international players have also shown their interest in the PSL. Players like Moeen Ali, Hashim Amla, Rashid Khan, Imran Tahir, Dawid Malan, etc. joined the players in this mega event.

Pakistan Super League – Are you ready?

This time PCB has designed the 2022 schedule in such a way that allows every team to play equal matches. The matches will take two stages in two different states. The first half is in Karachi and the remaining is in Lahore.

The draft of PSL 2022 will be held in Lahore on the 12th of December at the High-Performance Centre. In the Platinum Category, Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick, followed by Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, and Quetta Gladiators.

Draft Pick & Players category update

Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick in the Diamond Category, followed by Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings, and Multan Sultans.

Lahore Qalandars will have the chance to take the first pick in the Gold Category, Peshawar Zalmi will have the first pick in the Silver Category, Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick in Emerging Category and Quetta Gladiators will have the first pick in Supplementary Category.

Previous local players have been updated and moved towards the bigger rank. Pakistan wicketkeeper/batter and Multan Sultan’s captain Mohammad Rizwan (previously Silver), Asif Ali of Islamabad United (previously Gold), and Lahore Qalandars’ Haris Rauf (previously Diamond) have been placed in Platinum Category.

Last year’s PSL gave the audience some iconic and sad moments. Faf Du Plessis suffered memory loss after the concussion.

PSL 2022 matches from 27th January to 7th February will be played at the National Stadium Karachi and from 10th to 27th Feb at the Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
