Pakistan Launches Hajj App to Help Pilgrims

Umar Saif, the federal minister of information technology, launched the Pakistan Hajj Application on Wednesday. This app will help people who are performing Hajj through the process.

The app would always know where the pilgrims were and what time it was, and it would prompt and guide the pilgrims about what to do next for Hajj.

This would assist the Hajj pilgrims in finding their way back to their Maktib and prevent them from getting lost in the crowds.

“It’d prompt the hajjis for feedback at different points to ensure smooth Hajj operations and enable a realtime connection with the ministry of religious affairs to seek help,” Saif said in a social media post.

He thanked Minister for Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed and his team, as well as the NITB, PITB, and MOITT teams, for their work on this.
