The representative for the Sindh health department verified to The reporter that “all patients are in stable condition.”

The Omicron virus variation found in patients in the city showed no “linkage with recently reported China variant BF.7,” according to a notification sent by the department on December 28, 2022.

None of the eight patients, it was stated, had “China travel experience.”

Lt-Gen Inam Haider Malik, the chairman of the NDMA, gave the NIH the order to release the required regulations for educational institutions, social gatherings, and communities yesterday while presiding over a review meeting on the virus situation.

In the meanwhile, allegations of a fresh Covid wave have surfaced while at least 29 Omicron illnesses have been detected in a week across the nation.

However, of the published numbers, there are no BF instances and all cases are of the earlier XBB subvariant. There have been 7 instances found thus far.

The current positivity rate is 0.40 percent, with 15 positive instances, according to the NIH.

Alarm As China Relaxes Restrictions
