NEPRA- to increase fuel power charges- accounting for Fuel charge adjustment (FCA), electricity tariff accounts for the adjustment of July 2023 to March 2024.
The fuel charge will be collected from the month of, June to September 2024.
Chargers are to be restricted to Karachi- only. The charges will be broken down to Rs2.68 for June, Rs3.11 for July, Rs3.22 for August, and Rs3.1 for September.
NEPRA, earlier on, increased Rs3.3/ unit for power distribution companies, except for K-electric. NEPRA previously hiked an increase of Rs3.76, accounting for fuel adjustment charges.

The increase amounts for June, July, and August. As a result, the consumer will face a hike of Rs1.9 for June and Rs0.93 for July and August.
It is important to note that the electricity hike for Karachi will not apply to Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and lifeline consumers.
