National Command and Operations Center NCOC has decided to open all markets and shops from Monday. It was decided in a meeting with Planning Minister Asad Umar in the chair held in Islamabad on Saturday.

The NCOC meeting decided to allow shops and markets to remain open till 8 pm from Monday, said Radio Pakistan. The forum also decided that all offices will resume normal working from Monday with 50% staff.

It decided to restore inter-city and intra-city transport from tomorrow. Expressing satisfaction over the implementation of SOPs, the forum decided to restore Pakistan Railways’ operations with 70% occupancy. The NCOC will meet again on Wednesday to review the implementation of the corona SOPs.
The NCOC decided that…
- All inter-provincial, inter-city, and intra-city public transport will resume from May 16 with 50% occupancy.
- Railways will maintain its operation with 70pc occupancy.
- All markets and shops will remain open till 8pm from May 17.
- Normal working hours for offices will resume from May 17 with 50% staff working from home.
Meanwhile, 83 more deaths due to coronavirus infection and 1531 new positive cases of the pandemic were reported in the country during the last 24 hours.

According to the fresh statistics issued by the NCOC, 30,248 tests were conducted and the positivity ratio remained five point zero 6%. Moreover, the death toll from the contagion in the country has now reached to 19, 419.
