Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif receives a duplicate BA degree from Punjab University. As per the recent update, ahead of the PML-N intra-party elections, Nawaz Sharif has been issued a duplicate degree.
Fun fact, Nawaz Sharif paid Rs2,990 fees as per the reports. Adding that the application for the degree was submitted on June 7 at the request of the PML-N supremo.
It’s strange because this act raises severe questions as to why the former prime minister needs his BA degree at this time.
Nawaz Sharif Receives Duplicate BA Degree From Punjab University
According to the records, Nawaz Sharif completed his BA degree program in 1968 and obtained 340 numbers. The development came after PML-N scheduled its intra-party elections on Friday (tomorrow).
Sources further stated that “Sharif is expected to retain his political party’s post of lifetime supremo. It was learned that the former premier would mull over his return to Pakistan after the intra-party polls.”
Back in 2017, Nawaz Sharif’s name appeared in the Pandora Papers leaks that shocked the world with the hefty offshore company’s Sharif family owns.
When the news broke on the internet, the supreme court disqualified him as the country’s Prime Minister in a suo motu case.
Due to his highest peak of corruption, he’s been named in the top 10 world’s most corrupt politicians in the world.
But one thing is still unclear regarding his BA duplicate degree. As per the law, the pre-condition of possessing a BA degree for aspirants contesting for a national or provincial seat has been abolished through amendment in the relevant law.
