However, recently, massive protests erupted in Pakistan’s Nankana Sahib vicinity which even put the holy site in danger. Eventually, as always, India claimed the emerged protests at Nankana Sahib to be ‘communal’ which were then immediately rejected by Pakistan.

Undoubtedly, in the last year, the world Sikh community has found soulful peace in Pakistan after the opening of the Kartarpur project. In late August, Pakistan continued with the Kartarpur project despite the rising tensions with India. Well, this week, on Friday, Pakistan’s Foreign Office denied India’s ‘sectarian’ claims regarding the recently calmed protests in Nankana Sahib.

Assuring that Gurdwara will remain untouched and unharmed, the Foreign Office responded to India’s naive allegations. Rejecting the spread rumors regarding Nankana Sahib’s destruction, the official release called them ”not only false but also mischievous”. Particularly, the statement came in after massive protests began in the small town regarding a case of forced conversion.

The Foreign Office stated, ”All insinuations to the contrary, particularly the claims of acts of ‘desecration and destruction’ and desecration of the holy place, are not only false but also mischievous’. As per the authoritative comments, the incident was a minor one that picked-up heat between two Muslim groups. ”The provincial authorities in the Punjab province have informed that there was a scuffle in the city of Nankana Sahib today, between two Muslim groups. The altercation happened on a minor incident at a tea-stall”, the statement read.

With the assurance of the protection of minorities in Pakistan, several arrests have also been made as per reports. Further, it maintained, ”The District Administration immediately intervened and arrested the accused, who is now in custody. The Government of Pakistan remains committed to upholding law and order and providing security and protection to the people, especially the minorities”.

Expressing the significance and holy status of the Kartarpur corridor, Punjab’s provincial authorities quoted Quaid-e-Azam’s vision. ”The opening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor is a manifestation of Pakistan’s special care extended to the minorities, in line with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah”, the statement concluded.

While the ‘discriminatory’ Indian leader Modi is busy charging against Pakistan, PM Imran Khan is giving out the message of peace. Apparently, the Babri Masjid verdict vs Kartarpur Corridor is a struggle between peace and hatred, eventually. Well, the protests dispersed after a government representative successfully negotiated with the angry group.
