Monsoon Rains May Cause Flooding in Karachi and Sindh

The National Emergency Operations Center has warned that heavy monsoon rains could hit Sindh in the next 12 to 24 hours. Areas like Kashmore, Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Umerkot, Badin, Mithi, and Tharparkar might experience flooding due to the expected rain. Residents should follow instructions from local authorities to stay safe.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has told the irrigation department to get ready for possible river flooding. He stressed the need for teamwork among law enforcement, the Pakistan Navy, and other departments. The National Emergency Operations Center also predicted flash floods in parts of Punjab, with major cities like Lahore and Rawalpindi at risk of urban flooding.
