HRCP Shows Disgust At Maulana Tariq Jameel’s ‘Behaya Women’ Comments

Molana Tariq Jameel

Maulana Tariq Jameel is the eminent scholar of Pakistan. Recently, liberals bashed him for linking women with the COVID-19 pandemic. Following this, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), an independent organization expressed its distress against the Maulana.

Yesterday, the Maulana during PM Imran Khan Ehsas Telethon gave a talk and prayed for the whole world. In the talk, Maulana narrated a Hadith and said do these four things. The four things he described:  don’t speak a lie, do not betray, increase morality (become modest) and eat and obtain lawful money and goods. After that Maulana prayed.

However, when Maulana Tariq Jame talked about modesty he talked about short clothes and dance of women, which is against Islam. He said that immodesty was rampant in the nation of ‘LUUT’ on which Allah send five punishments. Therefore, immodesty (Behayi) is one of the reasons which brought the trial of Allah upon us. Furthermore, he said, we do not have the above four things this is why we are facing such lethal conditions– Cornavirus pandemic.

Consequently, the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) disparaged Maulana. The commission in a tweet said, “HRCP is appalled at Maulana #TariqJamil‘s recent statement inexplicably correlating women’s ‘modesty’ to the #Covid19 pandemic. Such blatant objectification is unacceptable and, when aired on public television, only compounds the misogyny entrenched in society.”

People on social media are supporting Maulana against the charges of HRCP and Liberals

Most of the people in Pakistan are supporting MaulanaTariq Jameel following his comments. Further many are saying these are not the words of Maulana Tariq Jameel but of Allah.
