In a world where we never seem to be satisfied with who we are or what we have achieved, there are some inspirational stories that make you thank the Almighty and applaud the characters who played their part so significantly. One such story is of RJ Mohsin Nawaz.
Mohsin Nawaz is a Pakistani FM RJ, motivational speaker, and TV celebrity, who cannot walk or see. Mohsin was diagnosed with polio paralysis at the tender age of 2, due to which he lost the biggest gift of God, his eyesight, at the age of 13. Even after two of his most essential parts gone, Mohsin continued fighting for his life.

Mastering the art of reading Braille language, Mohsin completed his Master’s degree in Urdu Literature. There was a time when Mohsin was unable to move and unable to see. There were people who advised his mothers to “pray for him”, which in Pakistan means may the Almighty reduce his suffering and take him away.
Such was Mohsin’s condition, that people thought he wouldn’t be able to do anything in life and would be a burden on his family. However, that wasn’t to be the case! When Mohsin listened to the conversation, he prayed to the Almighty: “O Lord, I don’t have legs, I don’t eyes. So what? I will show the world what I can do with the rest of your blessings I possess. I will perform the best with these”

And that was exactly what happened from there on, there was no stopping Mohsin. He would buy books and cassettes and listen to them, trying to memorize them. Today, he has memorized over 1500 books. He was a keen learner and he started listening to a lot of radio, especially programs of education.
Mohsin’s beautiful voice gave him an edge in the field of radio. After an interview, Mohsin was hired as a radio presenter for FM 103 (Mast FM), to conduct a live show. Just as his life story, Mohsin’s show was a tremendous success, making him one of the post popular RJs in Pakistan, who has been doing a live show every Sunday for 13 years.

As everything started to fall in place, Mohsin’s love life followed. One of his thousands of followers, Maria decided that she wanted to be a part of Mohsin’s life. The couple got married and now have beautiful children. Maria brought the missing luck factor in Mohsin’s life. Soon after marriage, Mohsin was made Director Public Relations for a private firm, which indeed is a huge achievement.

“When somebody told me that he has failed in his exams, my question is, *”Is it a law that you will pass every time?”* When somebody asked me why am I in depression, my question is, *”Is it compulsory to have confidence all the time?”* When someone cried to me about his huge business loss due to his wrong decision, my question is, *”Is it possible that you take all right decisions?”* The fact is our expectation that life has to be perfect/permanent is the biggest reason of our unhappiness.
One has to understand the law of impermanence of nature. After each sunny day, there has to be a dark night, after each birth there have to be certain deaths, for the full moon to come again it has to pass through no moon. In this imperfection of nature, there is perfection. So *stop taking your failures and bad part of your life soooo personally or intensely,* even God does not like to give you pain but its the cycle through which you have to pass. Prepare yourself for one more fight after each fall because even failures cannot be permanent…! Enjoy life…. *Your breath comes to go.* *Your thoughts come to go.* *Your words come to go.* *Your actions come to go.* *Your feelings come to go.* *Your illnesses come to go.* *Your phases come to go.* *Your seasons come to go.* *You have come to go.* Then why do you hold on to your guilt, anger, unforgiveness, hatred so so so tightly, when it too has come to go… Let it go …”
Mohsin’s success story speaks volumes about not giving up in life. People will try to undermine you, put you down, make you feel weak and worthless. That is when you need to step up the most and shut everyone up who ever doubted you. If Mohsin’s story hasn’t inspired you, nothing ever will.
