Prior to the October 23 T20 World Cup 2022 match between India and Pakistan, veteran India pacer Mohammed Shami served as a tutor for Shaheen Shah Afridi. Shami has entered the Indian team in lieu of Jasprit Bumrah.
The Indian cricket bowler Mohammed Shami is a seasoned veteran of the sport. As the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup, Shami has begun practising in the nets. Shami was observed advising Pakistani pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi prior to India’s opening match of the tournament against Pakistan. Fans have extensively shared the image on social media.
Shami was initially selected as a reserve member of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup, but after Bumrah’s injury he was promoted to the main roster of 15 players. Together with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shami will lead the Indian bowling attack at the T20 World Cup in Australia because to his expertise.
Given Shami’s experience, not only is the Indian squad eager to utilise his skills and even aid the younger players learn from him, but Pakistani seamers like Shaheen are also eager to learn from the pacer.

In a photograph that has leaked online, Shami may be seen instructing Shaheen as a left-handed batsman. The fact that the India pacer helped his Pakistani colleague despite the rivalry between the two sides and the fact that they will be playing each other in a few days has warmed the hearts of many fans on social media.
India’s first warm-up game in preparation for the T20 World Cup is against Australia. The lone over Mohammed Shami bowled during the match was the final one.
In that over, Shami took three wickets as India won the match by six runs. In fact, Australia lost four wickets in the final four balls of the match, of which Shami took three. Since one of them was a run-out, Shami was unable to complete his hat-trick.
