Her marriage to Asad Khattak was a part of it.
However, reports began circulating that Veena Malik has been unhappy in her marriage with Asad. She claims of abuse and violence incurred on her by her husband and seeks separation from him to restore peace in her life. On the other hand, Asad charges with claims against her too. The matters were not settled between the couple and they needed strong advice.

On Monday, Veena Malik and her husband Asad Khattak appeared on a local news channel talk show an hour before midnight. The anchor called-up Maulana Tariq Jameel as well. It was an attempt to negate the controversies between the couple and facilitate it by the help of Maulana Tariq Jameel who already has had a strong influence over them.
Here are Veena, Asad, and Maulana Tariq Jameel settling the matter during the show:
“I haven’t spent a single day with peace after this marriage” – Veena Malik
Asad Khattak sought absolution from his wife, but Veena laid emphasis on things that she could not forgive Asad for.

She further claimed, “first, that he beat me; second, he disrespected me – not once, but repeatedly.” To which, Maulana Tariq Jameel ensured Veena that his “vote is with her” and also asked her to give her husband “another chance”.
“Your happiness is dear to me, but I also wish to see you raising your family. If he (Asad) is asking you to forgive him, give the man another chance. He (Asad) is claiming it in front so many people, he should be given another chance.” – Maulana to Veena

Veena requested Maulana Tariq Jameel to ensure a guarantee from Asad in written form. He agreed to provide it before hand. Maulana then warned Asad not to slip away from the slope and not to give his wife any reason to complain again in future. He said, “You’re claiming such things on live TV and it’s a huge platform, so you must make sure you do not give her a reason to complain in future now.”
To which, Veena claimed, “He’s been seeking my forgiveness for a very long time, but I’d told him something very clearly. I wouldn’t be ready to reconcile with him even if the sun rises from the west. He’s annoyed me in all of 3 years I spent with him and has worried me a lot. I’m ready to give him one more chance but it has to be done through the process of the court.”
