Our nation needs our help

Ever since 2017, the number of thalassemia patients has been soaring up. Unquestionably, those who are suffering from this disease certainly need blood fusion to survive.

National statistics enumerate that every year, 6000 children end up suffering from this blood disorder, in which their bone marrow cannot make its own blood cells. This year’s count has reached up to 2.5 million!

Hematologist, Dr. Rahat Hussain, stated that every month 150,000  to 200,000 bags of blood are required for the patients of thalassemia. The more agitating news is that every month, there are thousands of children who are unable to get the blood amount, they require.

Being a part of this nation and as a responsible citizen, it is our duty to donate blood to our country’s blood banks, so that the future of these children can be saved.
