Maria B recently posted a video on Instagram, criticizing the series for promoting LGBTQ themes and normalizing pre-marital sex. She claimed that ‘Barzakh’ is misleading Muslim society by promoting inappropriate content. Maria B quoted Fawad Khan, who said that media exposure could make people more accepting of gay love.
In her caption, she stated, “We will not accept this agenda. We won’t allow them to spread this among our children. The drama glamorizes forbidden concepts like Zina, LGBTQ, and child grooming shamelessly.”
She called on Pakistani parents to come together to protect their children. Directed by Asim Abbasi, ‘Barzakh’ features Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed and explores mystical themes, such as homosexuality and the afterlife.
