Mahira Khan Hits Back at the Harsh Reactions by Pakistanis over Ayesha Gulalai Controversy

Ayesha Gulalai, a name that seeped in the mainstream lot overnight continues to make headlines even today. Just went you thought that the whole Panama leaks fiasco, the verdict and its aftermath wasn’t enough to engulf our minds and attention, Ayesha Gulalai dropped another bombshell.

Former Parliamentarian announced her imminent resignation from PTI in a live press conference. Not just that, she levelled serious allegation over Chairman Imran Khan. Ayesha accused Mr Khan of sending her lewd text messages. She said she started receiving inappropriate text messages back in October of 2013. Fast-forward 4 years, Ayesha Gulalai spoke about it on the media.

The news broke the internet. It took a toll on national media. People could not help but discuss her grave accusations of Imran Khan. The million dollar question followed – whether it was all true or an indirect ploy by PML (N)?

Pakistanis were quick to react. They raised a concern over investigating the whole drama. While PTI remained silent over the accusations, the media highlight more developments regarding the whole scandal. BlackBerry was relevant once again as Ayesha Gulalai summoned that Imran Khan’s BlackBerry smartphone be inspected and that she has proof of those messages sent by him.

The whole point is that someone as influential as Mahira Khan tried to raise her voice against the uncalled hate and the usage of obscene language for Ayesha Gulalai. It’s off-putting and morally inappropriate. People should realize their judgements and harsh criticism puts us to shame as a whole society.
