Berlin: A suspected terrorist attack has killed and injured dozens in a Christmas Market in Berlin. Terrorism has many forms but this one in Germany is different from the usual terror related news we hear.
As per initial reports, a lorry has rammed into a Christmas market which was thronged by a crowd as they were shopping for upcoming Christmas celebrations. At least 12 people have been killed and 48 others injured in the sad incident involving many unsuspecting shoppers.
Police say they suspect it is a deliberate attack with video footage showing stalls being knocked down and people laying on the ground after being hit, as per initial reports from the international media.
Though this kind of attack involving a vehicle isn’t usual it reminds us of another sadistic lorry attack in France that killed scores in the city of Nice.
As of latest, the suspect has been arrested as police move ahead to probe the incident.
There has been an outpouring of grief after the said terrorist activity with many condemning the incident and showing solidarity with the victims.
