Here Are 5 Less-Traveled Scenic Destinations In Pakistan That Every Pakistani Should Travel To At Least Once!

So Pakistan, as we’ve all heard at some point of time in our lives, is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Bestowed upon by not only a myriad of resources but also such diverse topography and cultures that it really is a place to get lost in discovering nature and human history and culture!

But amongst the many famous places, we’ve all seen that there are just as many gorgeous sites but sadly, much less heard off. Here is a list of five of my favorite places.

1. Sost, Hunza

As Pak-China relationship is strengthening, the China border which is also known as Khyber Pass is in much of limelight, nowadays. But do you know, at just a little distance is a quaint village known as Sost. Covered with both lush green mountains and snowy peaks? It is a small village where the truest form of human life is found. It is distanced from the modern day digitalism and hustle bustle. You begin to realize how beautiful the world around you is when you stop staring at a screen. Plus the Eagle’s Nest, in midst of a National Park, is so close that you could hop in and enjoy it!

2. Mohenjo Daro, Sindh

Along with other historical sites at Sakkar and Sehwan, one such site is Mohenjo Daro. It is one of the most renowned and famous historical sites in the world! It is astonishingly modern discoveries with their advanced sewage systems and construction, it is regarded as one of the largest settlements of the Indus Valley. It is designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site, the museums introduce the common person to the world of Archeology letting us see and truly understand the astounding history and culture that once lived and prospered here.

3. Malam Jabba, Swat

Pakistan has its very own ski resort located amidst the beautiful valley of Swat at Malam Jabba. Pakistan usually suffers a lot of hot days and the best way to beat that heat is skiing without breaking the bank to go to Europe or abroad! So will you head to ski this summer? We sure will!

4. Taxila, Punjab

Heading back a few thousands of years in history, we take a look at the ancient yet so developed civilization of Taxila. There lies a natural beauty and evidence of a civilization existing much before us all and the remarkable feats they achieved! Taking a stroll through time really helps take mind off the busy and troubled days of now combined in a short and cheap escape from the daily routine.

5. Kalash Valley, Chitral

The most beautiful place on earth is the first thing anyone who would see this place would think and well really no one can blame them. Cameras and words would really be unable to describe what the eyes would see! A mixture of Natural beauty with preserved human culture… Really there can’t be a better mix right??
