Petrol Prices in Pakistan

The Pakistani caretaker government has increased the cost of petrol significantly for the period of August 16 to August 31. As of today, the government has raised the prices of both Petrol and High-Speed Diesel (HSD), according to the information.

According to the statement, the price of petrol in Pakistan has gone up by Rs. 17.50 per liter, and the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has gone up by Rs.20 per liter.

The Finance Minister announced that the cost of a liter of petrol in Pakistan is now Rs. 290.45, and the price of High-Speed Diesel has increased to Rs. 293.40. However, he did not make any statement about the prices of Kerosene Oil or Light Diesel Oil (LDO).

Starting today, August 16, 2023, the prices of diesel and gasoline in Pakistan will be in effect for the remainder of the month.

The Finance Division sent out a notice that said, “Petroleum prices on the foreign market have gone up over the last two weeks. Because of this, prices for consumers in Pakistan are also being changed.”

In the last review, the PMD-led Federal Government raised the price of Petrol by Rs. 19.95 per litre and the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs. 19.90 per litre. The cost of Petrol is Rs. 272.95 per litre, and the cost of HSD is Rs. 273.40 per liter.
