Moreover, the men traveling in the car intoxicated the woman. She was drugged and then gang-raped by six men, according to the police. In addition to this, the woman reported the incident on September 24.

“The men took me to a nearby dera where four other men were present. All six men raped me one by one,” the woman stated. The perpetrators then left the woman in the fields near the area. “They called my friend and told her to pick me up from there,” the FIR added.

A case has been registered

A case has been registered under Section 376 (when rape is committed by two or more persons in furtherance of common intention of all) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday has taken notice of alleged gang rape of a girl on Jaranwala Road in Sheikhupura.

According to the details, Punjab CM Usman Buzdar has directed to launch an investigation into the matter and sought a report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) in this regard. He has also ordered the authorities to arrest the culprits as early as possible.

Moreover, the police have began investigations and are on the lookout for the suspects. Meanwhile, an FIR has also been registered against the suspects.

In a separate incident of gang-rape reported, a woman left her home with her two children in Lahore. She was driving when her car ran out of fuel around 1:30 am. She called a relative and a helpline for the highway police.

However, before they arrived, two men approached her car and broke the window. They took the woman and her children to nearby bushes where they brutally gang-raped her repeatedly in front of the children.

The Punjab government launched a search to arrest the suspects in the Lahore motorway gang rape case after their identification.

It is to be noted that Pakistan is facing an abrupt surge in rape cases. As a result, this has created a sense of insecurity among women. Moreover, Punjab province, the major province of Pakistan by population, has recorded more cases of rape than any other province.
