Police in Pakistan is a synonym to trouble, especially if you are an aam aadmi. It is the embodiment of devil himself. Police in Pakistan has plunged deep into corruption and abuse of power. It is nearly impossible to change their mindset.
Lahore police is no different than the rest. Thanks to social media, we keep in witnessing the rouge behaviour of Lahore police to the citizens and this is somehow putting a little pressure on the officers to behave.
In a recent incident, Punjab police left a man to die after brutally beating him for no reason. These police goons are renowned in the area for arresting young boys for ransom. They charge up to Rs. 200,000 to release them. The poor, helpless parents have to pay by hook or by crook to save their sons’ lives.
Lahore police warden abused a car driver…
So, this young boy in Lahore was going to the hospital to see his ailing mother. Unfortunately, the traffic police stopped him on his way. Though it is not clear from the video what did they charged him for but you can clearly see the distressed boy pleading to the warden to let him go.
A citizen present on the location, started to make a video of the whole scene. They warned the traffic warden that the video will be uploaded on social media.
Clearly, nothing affected the cop and he continued to abuse the young boy. Watch the video below!

There might be another side to the story too…
Some commenters on the video said the driver was underaged. And so the police warden stopped him.

So, there might be a reason behind police warden stopping the underaged driver. But there can’t be a reason for abusing and maltreating him.
However, if you are privileged then the same Police can be instantly on their best behavior. Just like the recent incident where the policemen assaulted this guy for trying to stop abusing this underage worker.
They took him to the police station and charged him for assaulting a policeman. It wasn’t until the SHO realized this guy is not a poor common man.
Incidents like these have become a norm in our society. The social media eye is keeping a check on the police goons everywhere but unless a concerned authority takes notice, it’s just a video showing abuse of power.
