KP Govt Introduces Fixed Tax for Beauty Parlors and Wedding Halls

The PTI-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced a significant tax reform affecting beauty parlors and wedding halls in the province. Instead of the previous percentage-based taxation system, these establishments will now face a fixed tax regime categorized by their business scale. This change, set to take effect in the upcoming fiscal year, aims to simplify tax procedures and promote fairness in the industry.

Mazamil Aslam, the Director General of the KP Revenue Authority, elaborated on the new policy, emphasizing that both beauty parlors and wedding halls will be classified based on their business volume. Owners will be able to choose either fixed or percentage-based tax rates for their services. This measure is expected to improve tax compliance and transparency in the taxing system, resulting in a more equitable contribution from enterprises across the industry.
