The bride and the groom were adorned in Sabyasachi outfits and jewelry on their special day. While Kaif donned a bright red saree, Kaushal looked dashing in an ivory sherwani. They seem to have taken a cue from Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh who also both wore Sabyasachi at their wedding.

Following traditional Hindu rituals

The newlywed tied the knot as per traditional Hindu rituals. Indian media outlets report that the couple took their 7 pheras on the afternoon of December 9. Kaushal and Kaif tied the knot in a wedding mandap which has been arranged in such a way that it faced a temple.

Kaif arrived at the mandap seated on a beautiful doli adorned with flowers, whereas groom Kaushal came in a vintage car after his sehra bandi. Sources revealed that the mandap was amidst a sheesh mahal in the fort, and decorated in colors of yellow, orange, and pink.

Sangeet event

Ahead of their big day on December 9, the lovebirds grooved to the beats of some smashing numbers on their Sangeet (a celebration held before a Hindu wedding ceremony for the bride-to-be and her female friends and relatives). They danced their hearts out.

The newlyweds shelled a whopping 4.5 lakhs on their Sangeet cake. It was made by a well-known Delhi-based patissier. The dreamy five-tier cake was replete with berries.

No mobile phones were allowed at their wedding ceremonies. But the duo had sold the broadcast rights for their wedding to Amazon for INR 800 million. However, that has not been confirmed by them or their representatives.
