Karachi Traffic Police Issues Guidelines for New Year’s Eve Celebrations

According to reports, the police anticipate a large number of people, particularly those from the Defense Department, to gather at these locations for celebrations.

We will open new roads to make traffic easier for people living in Defense, enabling them to easily reach their destinations. Police also stated that Defense residents must carry their original ID cards to skip security checks. But you won’t be able to get from Korangi to Khayaban-e-Ittehad, which leads to Seaview.

We will instruct those traveling to Defense from North Nazimabad, Liaquatabad, or Gulshan-e-Iqbal to take Three Talwars and Khayaban-e-Shamsheer to reach Seaview.

Additionally, we will instruct those traveling from Gadap, Bin Qasim, and Landhi to reach Seaview via Sharah-e-Faisal, Three Talwars, and Khayaban-e-Shamsheer.

Drivers who want to return from Seaview will use the Clock Tower, Khayaban-e-Ittehad Road, and Akhtar Colony roads. You can also return from Two Darya via the Gulf Club road. Mairipur Road and Jinnah Bridge, which lead to Mai Kolachi, will not allow heavy traffic. This will make things run more smoothly.

Lastly, big trucks won’t be able to enter the city after 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve until traffic gets back to normal.

AIG Karachi Javed Alam Odho had earlier warned the people of the port city that fireworks would be set off from the air to celebrate the year 2025.

AIG Odho told the people of Karachi that the police would file attempted murder cases for incidents of shooting from the air on New Year’s Eve.

Last year, gunfire from the sky hit Karachi on New Year’s Eve, injuring 31 people and booking several others.

The AIG of Karachi urged people to report any such events to the police, as they are prepared to assist if any issues arise.

He also told people not to fire from the sky and to enjoy the New Year in a responsible and peaceful way.
