A man who robbed a number of shops at the University Road in Karachi within a span of few days and was captured on CCTV footage during a robbery at a juice center the other day. He looted the same shop again after the owner released CCTV footage.
As per sources, the man robbed the same shop, located, twice after the shop owner shared CCTV footage with police. “You shared CCTV footage of robbery with police that’s why I am here again to loot shop for the second time,” the burglar told the shop owner.
A man disguised as a cop was captured on camera looting a juice center owner on Monday. In the CCTV footage, an armed man could be seen wearing police trousers. In addition to this, he can also be seen using the number plate of the Sindh police while committing robberies at various shops at University Road in the city.
One of the footage shows the suspect entering the shop. He points a gun at the cashier as the latter hands him over the money.

The police are reportedly in search of the suspect. It is pertinent to mention here that criminal activities, robbery, in particular, have risen to record levels in the city ever since the COVID-19 pandemic took over. Every now and then, videos of robbers looting some innocent citizens in broad daylight.
It goes without saying that the increase in street crime and robberies is due to the incompetence and failure of the government, police, and law enforcement agencies. The current situation should be taken seriously and the government should provide protection to the people of Karachi. Not only that but it should also take practical steps against the elements involved in crime.
A CCTV footage showing a robber mugging a shopkeeper in Karachi is making rounds on social media recently. However, it is not the kind of robbery that you get to hear of. In fact, seeing the ‘polite’ robbery will leave you rather baffled, and amazed at the same time.
In another similar incident, a suspected robber in looting a citizen near Power House Chowrangi of Surjani Town was caught and tortured by local residents. However, his accomplice managed to flee from the scene. The Karachiites thrashed the criminal whose attempt to snatch the bike and mobile failed.
