As the 19th edition of Pantene HUM Bridal Couture Week (PHBCW) swung open its doors on Friday to the world of glamour and glitz, a bizarre video from the event became a target for the internet trolls.

The event showcased the latest trends and designs in bridal couture by leading as well as emerging fashion designers of the country. The bridal extravaganza had a startling line-up of celebrities walking for the designer. Versatile actors Junaid Khan and Mansha Pasha also walked the ramp together for one of the designers.

Khan has recently been promoting his debut film Kahay Dil Jidhar alongside Pasha, which had been delayed due to covid. The duo was spotted walking the ramp at the fashion show.

Pasha was stunning in a golden long and flowing (pishwas) ensemble, while Khan had a charming look in an all-white sherwani with a golden shawl over his shoulders.

In their super romantic hand-in-hand ramp walk, however, the Ishq Tamasha actor stunned the audience as well as social media users when he lifted Pasha in his arms. Pasha and Khan were all smiles, but as the video made rounds on the internet, it did not sit well with the trolls.

Several users are of the opinion that the stunt by Khan was unnecessary and unneeded. They believe that it would have made more sense if the two were actually a real-life couple, and termed Khan’s act lifting of Pasha as “silly” and “cheap”.

For those in the entertainment industry, social media is a constant source of scrutiny nonetheless.

It may be recalled that in October, we saw some bigwigs of the Pakistani entertainment industry dressed to impress, and walking down the red carpet in fabulous outfits. But like every year, social media trolls could not resist making unpleasant comments.

Despite the celebs looking absolutely stunning in their outfit of the day, social media was abuzz with memes and some unpleasant comments about who wore what.

Having enough of it, Pasha called out the moral brigade and spoke about how women in the industry are always shamed for their attires once an award show concludes. The Laal Kabootar star also exposed the bitter side of the industry earlier.
