Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) postpones Karachi Sit-in following Hamas Political Leader Ismail Haneyah's Death

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has postponed its Karachi sit-in, following Ismail Haniyeh’s martyrdom. Furthermore, JI announced a sit-in at the Governor House, in Karachi. However, due to Hamas’s political leader’s assassination JI announced its postponement.

Meanwhile, with rising inflation, and, more particularly, rising electricity bills, JI had previously announced a sit-in at Karachi’s Governer House. JI had also selected M.A. Jinnah Road as a sit-in venue. But, JI announced a postponement following the martyrdom of the political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh.

Moreover, JI has announced an absentia funeral prayer for the deceased leader. M.A. Jinnah Road to host an absentia funeral prayer.

Meanwhile, Israel’s air strike killed Ismail Haniyeh and his bodyguard in Tehran, Iran. Ismail was present to present homage to the new Iranian President. Moreover, Hamas seeks a key ally in Iran.

Hamas is an unrecognized political force. In addition to it, it has actively resisted Israel’s colonization and genocide in Palestine. Ismail Haniyeh was the founding father of Hamas. Furthermore, he was the former Prime Minister of Palestine.
