Israeli troops have shot dead a Palestinian teenager in the occupied West Bank on the sidelines of a protest against an illegal settlement. And, Muslim countries like UAE, Bahrain, and allegedly Saudi Arabia also are talking about PEACE with Israel. How can we give peace a chance when Israeli troops are killing innocent Palestinians?
Palestinian Health Ministry said the 13-year-old Ali Ayman Nasr Abu Aliya “succumbed to his wounds after he was shot with live rounds in the stomach” during protests north of Ramallah.
Earlier on Friday, eyewitnesses said that the clashes broke out between Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers. Clashes happened in al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah in the West Bank.
The youth was targeted in the same village. He was transported in critical condition to a hospital in Ramallah, where he died.
They said that the soldiers fired live ammunition, rubber bullets, and teargas canisters to disperse the demonstrators.
Meanwhile, Palestinian paramedics said they treated dozens of demonstrators who suffered suffocation after inhaling the Israeli tear gas.
Mayor of al-Mughayyir Amin Abu Alia said four more demonstrators were injured by Israeli rubber gunshots during the clashes.
Palestinian boy dies of wounds sustained in clashes
“This ugly crime is a war crime and a crime against humanity,” the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military spokeswoman said soldiers had used what she described as “riot dispersal means”. She claimed dozens of Palestinians were pelting rocks at soldiers. They tried to roll rocks and burnt tyres at Israeli vehicles, she added.
The Israeli army denied firing live rounds on protesters, said TRT.
So, shooting a 13-year-old Palestinian boy was part of Israel’s so-called “riot dispersal means”? And, why? Because, some Palestinians when hurling stones, we repeat, stones at armed Israel forces. Were they this scared of stones? Speechless!
It is shameful to see Israel is the same country that wants peace while it continues to kill Palestinians.
In August this year, Israel and UAE signed a ‘peace deal’ to normalize relations. Bahrain did the same. Saudi Arabia has opened its airspace for Israeli flights after 72 years. Now, ask yourself. Who is a bigger threat to the Palestinian cause, Israel or the Muslim world?
