However, the event has sparked backlash. Many people online believe that the bold designs do not match the values associated with the university’s name, which has a strong Islamic meaning. One person commented, “Iqra is the first word revealed by Allah, and they are disrespecting it with such displays.” Others accused the university of promoting vulgarity in the name of creativity. Some criticized the designs, saying they lacked originality and simply copied Western fashion without true innovation.
