Pakistan has seen huge changes economically and politically since Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) took over. Under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sincere leadership, several development projects have been launched till now. Yet again, today, PM Imran Khan will be launching the ‘Pakistan Clean Green Index’ program regarding the devastating cleanliness conditions of Pakistan.
PM Imran Khan to make Pakistan clean and green through the ‘Pakistan Clean Green Index’ program!
Earlier this year, the Premier launched the ‘Kamyab Jawan Program’ to create future entrepreneurs from the youth. Later, another such initiative was taken for the young generation in the form of an undergraduate scholarship program. Now, PM Imran Khan is off to make Pakistan green and clean as he’ll inaugurate the ‘Pakistan Clean Green Index’ for the nation.

As per PTI’s official Twitter handle, “Today, PM [Imran Khan] will be launching #CleanGreenChampion Program. It is a volunteer initiative that is for ALL Pakistan and anyone can register with CNIC on the App or Website. Based on actives people will get points and there are incentives which different point tiers”.
The green initiative will help in the structure development of Pakistan and ensure a certain level of cleanliness is maintained. According to media reports, the ‘Pakistan Clean Green Index’ would be the country’s first-ever green character and cleanliness measuring barometer. Specifically, the equipment is known by the name “Clean Green Pakistan Index (CGPI)”, officially.
The Premier’s Advisor on Climate briefed about the program!
On the development occasion, PM’s Advisor on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam briefed about the index’s details. He stated, “The index aims to improve overall green and clean outlooks of Pakistani cities by kicking off the competition among them on five indicators”. Further, Malik specifically described the five indicators involved in the recently launched clean-green program.

He maintained, “Sustainable public access to clean drinking water, safe sanitation, effective solid waste management, hygiene and tree plantation”. Reportedly, the PM’s Advisor further revealed that each indicator will be carrying a weightage of 20 marks while the cities are assessed. Moreover, to kick start the initiative, only a total of 19 districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will take part in the program.
As the “Clean Green Pakistan Index (CGPI)” is rolled out, it will help in environment conservation and sustainability. While PM Imran Khan’s ‘Kamyab Jawan Program’ is providing loans to the youth, the recent program would make Pakistan green. Undoubtedly, in this time of economic and political turmoil, the PTI leadership is acting all sensibly and with sincerity.
