IDPs: NDMA and army helping civil administration

IDPs, North Waziristan, NDMA, Saidgai area, Army, Islamabad,

Islamabad- National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has prepared a plan in co-ordination with army and civil administration to provide assistance to the IDPs of North Waziristan at various camps.

In an interview, NDMA member operations said the relief camp established at Bakakhel has a capacity of accommodating two hundred thousand IDPs.

He said, although the IDPs are presently reluctant to come to the relief camps and prefer to live in houses but they will return back to the relief camps when they see better facilities there.

Meanwhile, the senior lady doctors and paramedics staff examined internally displaced women of North Waziristan at a free medical mobile camp hospital at Saidgai area. The lady doctors have treated 3642 patients free.
