Hostilities between Israel and Hamas escalated on Wednesday, with at least 35 killed in Gaza and five in Israel in the most intensive aerial exchanges for years. PM Imran Khan also joined on Wednesday countless others expressing solidarity with Palestine on social media and cleared that Pakistan stands with Palestine
“I am PM of Pakistan and #WeStandWithGaza #WeStandWithPalestine, ” posted the premier on the micro-blogging website today.
PM Imran Khan has always rejected Israel’s plans to suppress Palestinians and their freedom cause in the past well. Last year, when the United Arab Emirates (UAE) signed a deal with Israel as a shock to the Muslim world, PM had said Pakistan would not accept Israel as a state.
“Pakistan will not recognize Israel until Palestinians get their right, which should be in line with the two-state solution,” PM Imran had said.

35 killed in Gaza as Israel airstrikes intensify
Israel carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Gaza into Wednesday morning. Hamas earlier fired several rockets over the border at Tel Aviv and the southern city of Beersheba.
At least 35 people have been killed in Gaza and five in Israel in the most intense exchanges for years.
In Gaza, one multi-story residential building collapsed. Another was heavily damaged after they were repeatedly hit by Israeli airstrikes.
Israel said its warplanes had targeted and killed several Hamas leaders early on Wednesday. Other strikes hit what the military said were rocket launch sites, Hamas offices, and the homes of Hamas leaders.
It was the heaviest offensive between Israel and Hamas since a 2014 war in the Hamas-ruled enclave and prompted international concern that the situation could spiral out of control.
Meanwhile, Palestine on Monday evening also called on the international community to intervene urgently to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. In a viral video yesterday, Palestinians also called upon the Pakistan Army to save them from Israel’s aggression.
