Very few Hollywood superheroes get the revival from retirement. Hugh Jackman aka Wolverine is one of them and he’s coming back to the big screen after his last appearance as a mutant.

Yesterday this whole surprise was revealed by Ryan Reynolds who plays Wade Wilson also known as Deadpool, who announced that the Prestige actor is reprising his role for Deadpool 3.

For those who don’t know, Hugh Jackman became popular when he first appeared in 2000’s X-Men which made him a global star.

But after almost 17 years and nine films with several cameos has decided to come back after his character was killed off in 2017’s Logan.

Ryan Reynolds makes the big announcement

Ryan Reynolds on Wednesday took to Twitter and quipped how hard it was keeping his mouth “sewn shut” about this news.

Ryan Reynolds first appeared in Deadpool back in 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the end of which saw Reynolds’ anti-hero with his mouth sewn shut.

Although X-Men is among those movies that count in the list of top 10 superhero movies, because of it’s cast and story.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the first Deadpool film saw a redemption arc for Reynolds’s character and it instantly became successful earning as big as $782 million globally which helped the actor become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.

Shawn Levy, known for his popular movie Night at the Museum is directing the third Deadpool installment along with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick as writers that penned the previous two films.

This film will be the first-ever Deadpool film made by Marvel because the previous ones were produced under the banner of 20th Century Fox. Deadpool 3 will be released on September 6, 2024.
