Three Hockey players and an official have denied PHF’s accusation of seeking asylum. Moreover, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) had, previously accused players and officials of seeking asylum in Europe. Furthermore, PHF had imposed a lifetime ban on them.
As per the details, player Murtaza Yaqoob, Ehtisham Aslam, and Abdul Rehman Jr, along with their physio have denied PHF’s accusation. Furthermore, they have confirmed that they requested or applied for asylum in Europe.

However, they were offer temporal residency pertaining to their involvements in different league. Meanwhile, if they wanted to they would have done it earlier.
Meanwhile, earlier PHF official Rana Mujahid claimed that players had informed of their non-availability for Asia Champion Trophy. However, they had not disclosed their substitute plan. Additionally, Foreign Ministry has been contacted to revoke the passport of the accused.
