As Hiba Bukhari prepares to become a beloved wife for her co-star and fiance Arez Ahmed, the two kicked off their wedding festivities with a mayoun ceremony on Tuesday night.
The duo made things Instagram-official in December and confirmed that they are all set to tie the knot. Dedicating their Insta grids to the announcement, Bukhari and Ahmed posted a collage of them holding hands with a heartfelt note in the caption.
Bukhari expressed herself with a long note. “I still remember how uncomfortable I was holding your hand in Bholi Bano, and today I feel the safest in your hands,” read the caption of her Instagram post.
“I intentionally tried to stay away and not fall for you but gladly did,” she added. “Don’t know who chose whom but I feel lucky to be selected for this crazy rollercoaster ride.”
“Lastly, thank you for holding me when I was unable to hold onto myself. This is to announce that in this bustling world you are mine!”
The Fitoor star once again turned to her Instagram on Tuesday to share gorgeous photos from her intimate mayoun ceremony last night. Bukhari, who kept her look simple yet glittering for the event, slipped into a yellow lehenga choli by Maha Wajahat. The star paired her look with handmade flower jewelry.
The to-be groom Ahmed also turned to his Instagram to share an adorable photo with Hiba, both glazed in turmeric for the pre-wedding preps.

Bukhari, who is mostly seen playing an innocent girl in distress, has worked with Ahmed in the drama serial Tarap and Bholi Bano.
Earlier, the Thori Si Wafa actor did a Q&A session on her Instagram in which she subtly hinted at her being engaged. Bukhari had a ton of questions asking about her relationship status. As soon as the actor claimed that she is “committed”, fans began speculating about the mystery man. But well, looks like the speculations were right after all!
