HEC Rejects ‘Fake’ News Says Promoting Students Without Exams Is Out Of Question

HEC Pakistan

Ever since, the global pandemic of coronavirus in Pakistan, the education system of the country halted. The Higher Education Commissions (HEC) started online classes and did its best to not hinder the education of pupils in these times of adversities. Nevertheless, students were not satisfied with the HEC.

However, people on social media heavily protested against online classes. Earlier, a fake notification surfaced on social media. The notification naming HEC read, “It is to inform all students of different universities that we have decided to stop online classes, and more importantly all examinations have called due to COVID19 pandemic, and all students will be promoted to next semester on the basis of their previous records.”

“Promoting students without examination is out of the question,” said the HEC.

However, university students across Pakistan are in deep misery. Many cannot attend online classes due to the dearth of internet facilities. Similarly, some are stuck in other turmoils owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Consequently, students are against examinations and online classes in the country.

Here’s how students on social media reacted to the tweet of HEC.

‘Not a single thing you guys have done is for the students!’

‘We want justice and promotion’

Reasons for promotion

Pertinent question

Students in Pakistan are going through a rough time. Many students are demanding that HEC must oblige them just like the government obliged the matric and FSC students.
