Saim Ayub Sidelined Due to Ankle Injury

Saim Ayub, Pakistan’s top-order batter, has been ruled out of action due to a right ankle fracture. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) provided an update on his condition, confirming that he is undergoing rehabilitation in England and is progressing well.
Medical evaluations, including MRI scans and X-rays, determined that Ayub would be unavailable for 10 weeks from the date of his injury on January 3. His participation in Pakistan’s upcoming tour of New Zealand, scheduled from March 16 to April 5, remains uncertain and depends on medical clearance.
Champions Trophy 2025 Exclusion
Ayub’s injury has also led to his exclusion from Pakistan’s squad for the Champions Trophy 2025. The PCB continues to monitor his recovery, with further assessments to determine his return to competitive cricket.
