On Saturday when the Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar arrived Karachi, different actors and producers were present at the Karachi Registry of the Supreme Court for the hearing of a case on broadcasting Indian content from Pakistani channels. He issued notices to different media channels and PEMRA to submit their answer on why they are airing highly inappropriate content.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar, also expressed his concerns about the dress code of female actors on TV and award ceremonies. He said that “The clothes being worn by female actresses are unacceptable, we are liberals but vulgarity will not be tolerated”. People from all over the country including Islamic scholars not only appreciated his stance but also wished that Mian Saqib Nisar could make a law on the dress code of females who appear on TV or films.
After these remarks of CJP on women’s dress code, the famous, renowned and bold news anchor Gharida Farooqi didn’t seem happy. Gharida questioned CJP, in a very mild tone, that dictating a woman what to wear and what not in the year 2018 is unfair.
Vulgarity will not be allowed to be shown on tv. Dresses worn by women in tv award shows are unacceptable; says CJP Saqib Nisar.
Ah well… defining morality for women, dictating what to wear, what not to… Where did I hear this before ? Me Lord, this is 2018 !

After expressing her bold views on social media, people trolled Gharida Farooqi as they weren’t happy with her remarks.
