It’s the same franchise that brought the series of Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadow Die Twice which also won the Game of the year award in 2019.

This game has risen the bar of video games and no one saw it coming Elden Ring grabbing every record. Because there’s not a single review platform that didn’t give this game 10 ratings. From story to direction everything is top-notch.

Elden Ring record-breaker of the year

From Software brings you another soul’s game that delivers endless entertainment, difficult bosses to kill and a long map to explore. The creator Hidetaka Miyazaki has fulfilled the promise and his fans didn’t disappoint at all. Since the day it got released people have been dying to get their hands on, especially the Next-Gen console players and it looks beautiful in 4k.

On day one, the game sold out physically and digitally all over the world. Because the ratings and reviews have created endless hype for the game.

It’s a game that is slow, it requires patience and a great open-world experience with frustrating difficulty. For those who are new to the soul game and want to spend hours in it. Then for them here’s the overview trailer that explains the whole background of the game.

Critical Reviews – Hard to avoid

According to the PlayStation review, “Elden Ring took the best parts of previous FromSoftware games and expanded them across a living open-world with endless discovery, excitement, and danger.

It’s not lost the edge of previous titles, but it is the most approachable FromSoftware game yet and is an excellent point for players to jump in on if they’ve not tried previous titles.

While its technical issues can be annoying, even they can’t dampen the experience of playing Elden Ring. FromSoftware’s latest is an artistic, innovative and cultural achievement like nothing before it.”

Digitally Downloaded stated, “With Elden Ring, we’re in masterpiece territory. FromSoftware is consistently great, of course, and I don’t mean to denigrate Sekiro or Dark Souls here, as they’re all exceptional, but Elden Ring has all the potential to have a similar level of impact as Demon’s Souls here.

Spinning a richly evocative and carefully paced tale of darkness and misery, Elden Ring isn’t the most easygoing game, either in terms of its storytelling or general difficulty.

However, not only is it majestic in scope and vision, it is one of the most perfect examples of how an open-world structure can be used to the thematic benefit of the game, rather than just be a massive space used to hurl worthless content at players. In this way, Elden Ring joins a very elite group indeed… and it has arguably topped it.”

Another reviewer wrote some great words for the Elden Ring. Daily Star“It’s lore always feels epic but is ultimately hardcore fantasy nonsense, and what’s going to keep you in Elden Ring for the long run is the amount to discover and the versatility and challenge at every turn. It has been equal parts pleasure and hell to play Elden Ring.

Because this is an amazing game and the developers have built a mind-boggling but nightmarish world to live and fight in. But it’s also one incredibly tough cookie from the off, and – casual gamers beware – you’ll have a lot of frustrating setbacks as you slowly progress as a warrior. Another wonderful video game for 2022. It’s already becoming a top year for consoles.”

George R.R Martin Elden Ring fan

This game also inspired the great writer George R. R. Martin, he woke up and played this masterpiece and shares his optimistic review. He took his review on Elden Ring to his official blog, where he didn’t hesitate to applaud the creator and developers of the game.

He wrote, “The wait is over,” writes Martin. “Years in the making, Elden Ring was released last week and has been taking the gaming world by storm. But don’t listen to me. FromSoftware brought me on to do their worldbuilding, so I can hardly pretend to be objective.”

He even cited some major reviews and praise for the game by calling it “Music to the ears.”

“Of course, almost all the credit should go to Hidetaka Miyazaki and his astonishing team of games designers who have been laboring on this game for half a decade or more, determined to create the best videogame ever,” Martin writes.

“I am honored to have met them and worked with them, and to have played a part, however small, in creating this fantastic world and making Elden Ring the landmark megahit that it is.”

None of the video games has scored 10 in each critic review, every platform given a 10 score and claimed as the masterpiece of the year.

Although there are tons of other video games up ahead, it’s hard to predict whether they will overshadow the hype of Elden Ring or not. The hype Elden Ring created throughout the year since it was announced at E3 2021, fulfilled the demand and satisfied their loyal gamers out there.
