Pakistanis Twitterati express their delight with the inclusivity

We too extend our support and wish the newly appointed police chief the best of luck on his new end exciting endeavor! Successful professionals like Bashir are an intangible asset for Pakistan. It is indeed a moment of pride when our fellow Pakistanis receive recognition globally.

Last month, for the first time in US history, a Muslim American had been nominated for the position of a federal judge. US President Joe Biden picked Pakistani-American, Zahid Quraishi, for the position of a federal judge on the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. Moreover, if confirmed by the Senate, Quraishi would be the first-ever lifetime-appointed Muslim federal judge.

Prior to that, the US announced Pakistan-born Ali Zaidi as a key appointment in Biden’s climate and energy team. He is the highest-ranking Pakistani-American in the Biden administration. This illustrates the fact that if given an opportunity, our fellow citizens can achieve important milestones!
