Lahore Gets Its First Transgender School

LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department has inaugurated the city’s first transgender school.

In this regard, personnel of the Punjab Education Department, instructors, transgenders, and residents attended an inauguration ceremony.

First Lahore Transgender School:

Murad Raas, Punjab’s education minister, cut the ribbon to officially open the school.

The school would have two shifts, with pupils receiving teaching during the first shift and technical education during the second.
More than 30 transgender kids have enrolled, according to the details.

It is important to note that two transgender consultants were also hired to help the community understand the issues they were facing; the teachers would also be transgender.

Furthermore, Neeli Rana, a trans woman, has praised the government for taking steps to educate the transgender community.
