Prior to this, all matches of the league were played in the UAE, but that’s not going in the favor of the board. As less crowded grounds become the reason for dropping players’ moral as well as the revenue growth line.

However, after successfully hosting some matches at home, the board decided to conduct the entire league here in Pakistan. In addition, the experiment of home matches has produced some exceptional results in terms of viewership and revenue. That’s why they decided to hold the complete edition at home this year. Moreover, 34 games of the league will be hosted in cities of Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi, with Lahore to host the opening ceremony and Karachi, the final.

PCB Circulates Tenders For Establishing Fan Parks

Pakistan Cricket Board has issued tenders for the commercial partnership rights for the creation of fan parks. With the giant screens and electrifying environment, fans will able to experience a new flavor of the game. Also, they can cheer for their favorite teams and players.

Each of the franchises will have a fan park during the tournament on the lines of ICC events having fan zones during the recent ICC World Cup 2019.

The zones permit thousands of fans who witness matches on the big screens and lets them enjoy the action with family and food along with the match. Similarly, the PCB is hopeful that Pakistani cricket fans would do the same.

Additionally, the security conditions in the country are quite stable now, and the forces are also doing their best to making the environment secure. So there is no need to worry anymore about arranging these public activities.

Well, the development would definitely prove to be worthy of the league and also play a major role in bringing fans closer to the action. However, it’s better if the parks are created in cities like Quetta and Peshawar where fans will not able to witness their teams perform at home. The fans have been going berzerk ever since the news came out, and they have shown their admiration for the cause on social media.
