Another day, another political brawl erupted between Pakistan’s ruling party and the opposition alliances. Apparently, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI)’s Federal Minister is often seen pulling off stunts against the opposing parties. Yet again, this week, Faisal Vawda brought the army’s combat boot in a talk show to insult other representatives of PML-N and PPP.

Well, the debate grasped heat after the PTI minister took out a black boot in the middle of the live TV program. With a strong well off background, Faisal Vawda comes among the politicians who own sick and slick rides worth millions. Earlier, on Tuesday, Faisal Vawda insulted the other two guests from PML-N and PPP by bringing a boot in the live talk show regarding a recently passed act.

Invited on ARY News’ talk show ”Off The Record” with journalist Kashif Abbasi, the debate escalated quickly. Eventually, to mock PML-N and PPP, Faisal Vawda mocked the opposing members on the recently passed Army act. Changing the slogan ”vote ko izzat do” to ”boot ko izzat do”, the PTI minister took out an army combat boot shattering PML-N and PPP’s ‘protection’ approach.

”PML-N should have respected them from day one as we did!”

Particularly, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)’s senator Javed Abbasi was putting his party’s stance forward. To represent Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Qamar Zaman Kaira came on board where the political clash happened. However, Faisal Vawda’s brutal comments against the present guests stirred, later forced Abbasi and Qaira to leave the show in protest.

With the boot in his hand, Faisal Vawda stated, ”You [PML-N] should have respected them from day one as we did. You talk against them [Pakistan Army], spew your hatred against them, you talk even when they lay down their lives as martyrs. Is there any shame? Any respect? Today, when it comes to their loot and plunder, Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif should hold this boot and tell the people that we will respect the boot and do everything to save us”.

Twitter reacts to Faisal Vawda’s act!

On the degrading stunt, the host Kashif Abbasi also labeled the show of boot ‘insulting’ for the opposition members. Soon after the exit of Qamar Zaman Kaira and Javed Abbasi from the show, internet warriors took charge. While the majority of the audience favored Faisal Vawda’s act, some even called the pulled stunt ‘misuse of military equipment’.  Currently, the hashtag #FaisalVawda is among the top trends on Twitter.
