The accurate definition of the word Hajj is going to a place for the purpose of visiting. In Islam, Hajj is a journey made to Kaaba, the “House of God”, in the holy city of Mecca.
The rituals of Hajj are completed in five to six days, starting from the eighth Dhu al-Hijjah to the thirteenth of Dhu al-Hijjah.

How long does it take to perform Hajj?

Fardh (obligatory) of Hajj:
1. Ihhraam.
2. Stay in Arafaat (Wuquf-e-Arafaat)
3. Tawaf-e-Ziyarah.
Wajib of Hajj :
1. Spending the night in Muzdalifa.
2. Doing Rami- casting stones at Jamraat (Satan)
3. Doing Sa’ee amidst Safa and Marwah.
4. Shaving the head (Halq or Qasr)
5. Performing Tawaf Wada’a (farewell Tawaf)

Dua when leaving for Hajj
بِسْمِ اللهِ ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاّ بِاللهِ
“In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is neither might nor power except with Allah.”
الَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَضِلَّ، أّوْ أُضَلَّ، أَوْ أَزِلَّ، أَوْ أُزَلَّ، أَوْ أَظْلِمَ، أَوْ أُظْلَمَ، أَوْ أَجْهَلَ، أَوْ يُجْهَلَ عَلَيَّ
“O Allah, I seek refuge with You from leading others astray.”
Dua when coming back to home
بِسْـمِ اللهِ وَلَجْنـاَ، وَبِسْـمِ اللهِ خَـرَجْنـَا، وَعَلـَى رَبِّنـَا تَوَكَّلْـنَا
“In the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we leave, and upon our Lord, we place our trust.”

- سبحان الل
- “Glory be to Allah.”

- سبحان الله واب حامد هي سبحان الله حيل أزم
- “All glory be to Allah and all praise to Him. Glorified is Allah, the Great.”
Dua While Doing Sa’ee
إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ الله فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا وَمَنْ تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ الله شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ
“Verily! As-Safa and Al-Marwah are the Symbols of Allaah. So it is not a sin for him who performs Hajj or ‘Umrah of the House (the Ka’bah at Makkah) to perform the going between them (As-Safa and Al-Marwah). And whoever does good voluntarily, then verily, Allaah is All-Recogniser, All-Knower.”
While ascending the Mount Safa the Prophet (S.A.W.) recited:
لَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ، لَا إلَهَ إلَّا الله أَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ
Dua For Ease & Assistance
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
“O Allah, there is none worthy of worship besides You. You are Pure, definitely, I have oppressed my soul by sinning”.
Dua While Drinking ZAM ZAM Water
Drinking of ZamZam water has a huge significance in Islam.
للَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمَاً نَافِعَاًً وَرِزْقَاً وَاسِعَاًَ وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ
“O Allah, I seek beneficial knowledge, wide sustenance and cure from all ailments from You.”
