Engin Altan Düzyatan was born 26 July 1979 in İzmir, Turkey. He started acting during his teenage. His patrilineal family is Albanian who immigrated from Prishtina. Other members of his family are Turkish who immigrated from Yugoslavia. Düzyatan studied theatre at Dokuz Eylül University. Later on, after completing his studies he moved to He completed his course and moved to İstanbul to start his acting career.
His screen debut was television series Ruhsar followed by Yeditepe İstanbul, Koçum Benim and Alacakaranlık. In 2005, he started acting in the film Beyza’nın Kadınları directed by Mustafa Altıoklar. In 2007, he appeared in the T.V series Sevgili Dünürümwith Haluk Bilginer, Sumru Yavrucuk and Nevra Serezli. Then he played in the films Cennet (2008) and Mezuniyet (2009). In 2009, he played the role of Doctor Serdar Batur in the series Bir Bulut Olsam with Melisa Sözen and Engin Akyürek. Besides, in 2010, he acted in the films Romantik Komedi, New York’ta Beş Minare and Bir Avuç Deniz. However, Engin Altan Düzyatan became popular with the TV series Diriliş Ertuğrul.
