Stuart Broad was not selected since his wife was expecting their first child at the end of November.

Will Jacks, a Surrey all-rounder, is named to the Test squad for the first time following an excellent summer in which he played a crucial role with the bat and off-spin in helping Surrey win Division One of the County Championship.

Liam Livingstone, a Lancashire all-rounder, has been called up to a Test squad for the first time since England’s spring 2018 tour of New Zealand. He will be seeking to make his Test debut.

James Anderson, Harry Brook, Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ben Foakes, Will Jacks, Keaton Jennings, Jack Leach, Liam Livingstone, Jamie Overton, Ollie Pope, Ollie Robinson, Joe Root, and Mark Wood.

The three Tests will go toward the 2021-22 ICC World Championship for Test Matches. England, rated fourth, is currently in seventh place in the Test championship standings, while Pakistan, ranked sixth, is in fifth.

Calendar of Tests:

1-5 December – First Test at Rawalpindi

9-13 December – 2nd Test, Multan

17-21 December – 3rd Test, Karachi
