What a way to open the World Cup campaign! England football team undoubtedly outnumbered Iran in their first FIFA World Cup 2022 match, where several young stars found the net and defeated Iran with a 6-2 final score.
Bukayo Saka was the star of the evening with the two goals in his bag and the British side dominated the whole match from the start.
With seven shots on target and six of them found the net. England surely exhibiting their game and warning others as well.
Before the game, a big controversy was held where Harry Kane was keen to wear LGTBQ “One Love” armband and as per Qatar’s ban policy, there was a high chance of him getting suspended from the game too.
England’s Begin World Cup Campaign With Big Win
From the first half, England’s dominancy can be seen and Iran’s defender wasn’t able to stop them. Jude Bellingham the young teenager couldn’t be happier than ever after scoring his first England international world at this big stage.
With the lead given by Jude, just before half time Saka doubled the lead and bagged the first goal in his cushion.
With that goal, England had tightened their grip, and within three minutes Raheem Sterling again comes out of nowhere to triple the lead with a brilliant cross by Harry Kane.
England Players Showed No Mercy!
England’s players were showering goals, in the second half with wonderful dancing feet by Saka managed to double his goals and gave his side four goals lead.
There was no stopping there, in the 64th minute Mehdi Taremi found the net and Iran managed to have one goal on the scoreboard.
England’s brutality wasn’t enough, in the 71st minute Marcus Rashford with a brilliant finish added his contribution to the scoreboard as well.
The night ended with a 6-2 final score and Gareth Southgate’s side thrashed Iran in their first game. The host Qatar had also lost their first game against Ecuador.
